Other desserts may come and go but one thing is for sure, ice cream will remain and will always be part of every celebration, but have you heard of what they call Gelato?

Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream. When it comes to ingredients, Gelato has higher proportion of milk and a lower proportion of cream. It has less air making it denser and it doesn’t melt as fast as a regular ice cream. Gelato has lower fat content but has a stronger flavor compared to a regular ice cream.

With all these wonderful facts about Gelato, you will understand why they cost more compared to a regular ice cream but of course, there’s always going to be one that will stand out – A Gelato with the same standard and taste like the others but won’t hurt your budget!

Let me introduce “Fiorgelato“. Fiorgelato was re-introduced to the country year 1994 but originally started the “Pure Italian Ice Cream” business venture year 1989 and now continues to grow after they launched the franchising program year 1999.

They also offer Ice Cream Float, Affogato and Banana Split.

I was invited to try Fiorgelato at their Sta Lucia branch located at the second floor (Building 3) of the mall, just infront of Japan Home Centre (and escalator).

Their place can accommodate 8 to 10 people.

They have plenty of seats available so you can definitely relax here after you shop while you enjoy their Gelato!

They have unique flavors of Gelato that will surely please your palate. Can’t decide? You can always ask their friendly staff for a free taste!

What we’ve tried:

Bubble Gum: How many ice cream store offers this flavor? Only a few or maybe none? That makes their bubble gum flavor special and one of their best seller! P.S – it’s not too sweet 🙂

Fragola Strawberry: Another best seller, not to mention, it has real strawberries and has a “lowfat” version too! 😊

Choco Mint: Feeling sad or exhausted after a long day of work? Try this flavor and it will surely brighten your mood. Promise!

5 scoops for 105 pesos ❤️

Choconut Fudge: Bittersweet taste that all chocolate lovers need to try.

Salted Caramel: Subtle taste of saltiness and caramel. The taste might have been affected because it was placed underneath the other flavors. 🙁

Overall, I love the variety of unique flavors. As you taste every flavor, you’ll know that they used the finest ingredients. Worth a try for every sweet tooth! 40 pesos for 2 scoops – very affordable price for a Gelato, right?
